Gesnaer provides the airport training courses required for access to restricted areas of airports. All Gesnaer instructors are accredited by the Spanish Aviation Safety Agency (AESA).
AVSEC / AIRPORT AWARENESS COURSE
The AVSEC is the basic airport security course, aimed at personnel who carry out their activity at the airport and must have access to security restricted areas (SRZ). The AVSEC certificate is a prerequisite for the issuance of any airport accreditation.
AVSAF
The AVSAF is the mandatory operational security training course for all persons working in the movement area of Spanish airports. The AVSAF certificate is a prerequisite for accreditations that allow access to the unaccompanied movement area. There are 2 types of AVSAF certificates:
COM
This is the aeronautical communications course for the PCP-COM. In order to access this course, the student must have passed the AVSAF C training. This course deals with the theoretical training, being necessary to obtain the PCP-COM to carry out the communications practices that are part of the local airport familiarisation.
CAM
This is the manoeuvring area driving course for obtaining the PCP-AM. To access this course, the student must accredit having passed the AVSAF C training. As with the COM, the CAM course deals with the theoretical training and it is necessary to carry out the specific familiarisation practices to obtain the PCP-AM. The CAM course integrates the contents of the COM.
LOCAL FAMIRIALISATION
Local familiarisation is a face-to-face training course that takes place at each airport, where, together with an accredited instructor, a tour of the area where the worker is going to carry out their duties is carried out. During this tour, the student can clarify all the doubts on the familiarisation sheets that will be handed out by the instructor. Local familiarisation is also a prerequisite for entry into the movement area.
